So many of the solutions I’ve seen to improve the economy, or general standard of living require something I’m not sure we can supply.
Altruism. The unspoken requirement that everyone Do The Right Thing.
Case in point - Obamacare. Give the insurance companies millions of new users, and billions of more dollars, and prices will drop, and costs will decrease.
Except I don’t see anything requiring that to happen. So I see no reason it will.
Bear in mind, not long before Obamacare was suggested, insurance companies were painted as the CAUSE of many of our problems. Why will giving them billions of dollars suddenly make them good guys?
So I don’t know what would make companies who lease items better and more efficient and not just create more draconian contracts and systems to make themselves more and more money, and provide less and less.
