I have a problem with this point, because it suggests that Spidey and MJ were (for lack of a better term) “living together”, either before they got married, or afterwards, in lieu of same.  I don’t have a problem with that from any moral stand, I simply don’t recall it having been the case before.

The explanation has always been “everything happened except for the wedding” which doesn’t quite jibe.  Did they stay together and move in together after the wedding didn’t happen?  I had assumed they did not, and while they are still friends, the events AFTER the wedding (or lack of same) were not the same as before, as in they were not together, or co-habitating. At some point, that change would have had an effect on the stories, even if it isn’t a very huge one.

I’m not trying to complain about OMD, nor am I trying to claim the upcoming event in Iron Man “can’t happen”, I’m just pointing out (yet again) what a messy job it is trying to sort out changes to continuity, and the bigger the change, the bigger a mess.

It’s not quite as bad as what getting rid of Superboy did to the Legion of Super Heroes, but it’s up there.
