I maintain that My Dinner With Doom is one of the best FF standalone stories ever written. Dwayne delivered a solid character piece, fleshed out the contentious relationship between Doom and Reed, and still got in some solid action, and another great appearance by first brilliant creation for Marvel, Damage Control.
His run on FF proper was equally entertaining, even though he was left with one of the most bizarre and frustrating challenges a writer could get - Don’t use the FF in the FF title.
We shall not see his like again.
